What Is The Percentage Chance of Equipment Failure During a Specified Time Period? The above screen-shot demonstrates how MaintSmart can actually predicts the chances of an equipment failure during a specified length of time. In this example a group of equipment items, all maintained on the same preventive maintenance (PM) task list by the same individual, are being analyzed simulaneously. The first row of the grid indicates that this equipment item is failing at a decreasing rate (i.e. it's improving) and that during a 168 hour time period of operation this equipment item has a 26.43% chance of failing. (Failures are also user define but default to any failure of a one minute duration or greater.) .This equipment item fails on the average (mean) every 547.35 hours. The tab Causes of Failures uses reliability analysis to determine the average time to failure based upon specific failure causes, then guides you to setting preventive maintenance tasks to circumvent these failures thereby actually improving reliability! But MaintSmart ceratinly isn't finished yet! This data may now be charted, printed, etc. Each row containing an equipment item may be selected individually and analyzed in infinite detail as well. Maintenance management has never been simpler. Continue to monitor equipment reliability, adjusting preventive maintenance tasks lists as needed! |
